Following the appropriate level of assessment structured programmes or tailored interventions are conducted with the young people. Support and guidance is also offered to those supporting the young people. Our practices are trauma informed. We can offer a range of evidence based interventions and cognitive behavioural based programmes. We can also tailor interventions to meet the needs of individual young people. Examples of Programmes that can be provided are listed below.
Violence Is Not The Only Choice (VINTOC)
VINTOC is a cognitive behavioural programme that endeavors to reduce aggressive and violent behaviour in young people. This programme aims to assist young people to understand the link between the way they think and subsequently behave. The programme assists young people to understand their behaviour and their responsibility. The programme supports young people to identify behaviours that are harmful to self and others. The programme teaches appropriate skills to manage, eliminate or reduce harm. The programme also develops appropriate relapse prevention strategies.
Offending Is Not The Only Choice (OINTOC)
This is cognitive behavioural based intervention which addresses criminal behaviour, focusing on sociomoral reasoning, victim awareness, thinking skills and consequential thinking.
The Ross Programme
The Ross Programme is a cognitive behavioural programme that promotes social behaviour. It is a programme that addresses difficult behaviour and teaches problem solving and perspective taking skills in young people by teaching them skills and values that promote social behaviour.
This intervention is designed to assist young people to reduce or terminate harmful substance abuse. The intervention assists young people to develop self-management strategies.
Life Space Crisis Intervention
LSCI is an advanced, interactive therapeutic strategy for turning crisis situations into learning opportunities for children and youth with chronic patterns of self-defeating behaviours. LSCI views problems or stressful incidents as opportunities for learning, growth, insight, and change. This non-physical intervention program uses a multi-theoretical approach to behaviour management and problem solving. LSCI provides staff a roadmap through conflict to desired outcomes using crisis as an opportunity to teach and create positive relationships with youth.
